Matthias Leschok

Dr. Matthias Leschok is co-founder and COO of SAEKI Robotics AG, an ETH Zurich spin-off building automated micro-factories for large-scale robotic fabrication in the construction industry.

He received his doctorate from ETH Zurich in 2024 at the chair for Digital Building Technologies. His thesis, “HC3DP for Facades”, developed Hollow-Core 3D Printing — a patented polymer-based additive manufacturing process — for the design and production of lightweight, high-performance building envelopes, conducting research across architecture, material science, building physics, and structural engineering. Prior to ETH, he received his architectural degree, with distinction, from KIT in 2015, and graduated from the MAS in Architecture and Digital Fabrication at ETH Zurich in 2017.

Matthias’ work has been published in journals including Additive Manufacturing, Automation in Construction, and Developments in the Built Environment, and recognized through exhibitions, invited talks, and media features. His current work bridges academic research with industrial deployment, exploring how computational design, robotic systems, and material intelligence can reshape construction.
