Xiao Wang

Xiao Wang is a Ph.D. candidate from the Institute of Architectural Algorithms & Applications (Inst. AAA) at Southeast University in China. He started the Joint Doctoral Program in 2022 at the Chair of Digital Building Technologies (DBT) at the Institute of Technology in Architecture (ITA) at the Department of Architecture, ETH Zurich. His research mainly focuses on the utilization of multi-dimensional aspects and multi-modal data for diverse decision-making in the renewal of urban historic district, with data-driven modeling and generation methods.

 

Xiao holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and a Master of Engineering in Architecture from Southeast University. During his time at Southeast University, he was actively involved in both architectural research and practice, and his work was selected to be exhibited at the 2016 Venice Biennale. He has also received academic funds from the China Scholarship Council and the Jiangsu Province’s Postgraduate Research & Practice Innovation Program.
