Patrick is an architect, senior lecturer at the chair for Digital Building Technologies, and the Head of 3D Printing at FenX AG, a spin-off from ETH Zurich.
He received his doctoral degree from ETH Zurich in 2023. His thesis, “Architected Porosity: Foam 3D Printing for Lightweight and Insulating Building Elements”, explored new possibilities for architectural design combining novel sustainable materials, robotic additive manufacturing, and creative computation. Previously, he gained experience in architectural practices (Zaha Hadid, Delugan Meissl, Henn), and taught in architectural schools throughout Europe (ETH Zurich, TU Delft, TU Berlin, Politecnico di Milano).
