Anna Szabo

Architect with a particular interest in digital fabrication with concrete. After various experience in architectural planning, concrete manufacturing and project management, she conducted research as a PhD student at ETH Zürich with a focus on novel robotic construction processes and concrete formulations.

In her PhD, she investigated the potential of two specific digital concrete processes (SDC and ACDC) to fabricate thin folded concrete structures. Both use set on demand concrete to guarantee a high level of control over the early age properties of the material thus providing an opportunity to rethink formwork and casting technology.

She joined the chair for Digital Building Technologies to work on an Innosuisse project in collaboration with the ETH spin-off FenX focusing on mineral foam 3D printing.

She is now junior Scientist in the research group of Cement and Concrete Technology at Sika.
