Rena Giesecke (Dr. sc. ETH Zurich) is an architect. She received her Doctorate from ETH Zurich in 2023 where she was an ITA Fellow at the Chair for Digital Building Technologies, Institute of Technology in Architecture at the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich. She developed innovative solutions within the field of emerging Additive Manufacturing and digital technologies for construction. Her expertise includes research with industry partners, teaching and project management from concept and technology development to implementation, and scientific publication.

Rena is the Program Engagement Manager at the Holcim Foundation. She leads the engagement with the Foundation’s professional and academic network of stakeholders, and strategically drives new formats of thought leadership to foster debate on sustainable construction. She manages the outreach and relationships with the Foundations global network of partner universities.
