Marirena Kladeftira is a PhD researcher at the chair of Digital Building Technologies (dbt), Institute of Technology in Architecture (ITA) of ETH Zurich. Her research focus is additive joints for bespoke structures.
She received her Diploma in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens in 2015. She studied architecture also in ENSA Paris Val de Seine and ETH Zürich, where she received post graduate studies in Digital Fabrication in Architecture. After her Diploma she worked as a visiting researcher at the Transformable Intelligent Environments Laboratory of TUC, where she was co-developing a spatial device for assisting in the recovery and restoration process of patients with severe brain damage within an interdisciplinary team.
She has worked in offices in Greece and Paris and is a technology enthusiast and interactive spaces’ geek.
